Growing Food Justice - A Panel Discussion

When I was invited to attend a panel discussion on food justice by Daniel Bowman Simon, the man behind The White House Organic Farm Project as well as his latest endeavor, the People's Garden NYC campaign how could I say no?

"Growing Food Justice: How going local can help feed our city...and the world" features such big names on issues of food justice like urban farmer Karen Young-Washington, President of New York City Community Garden Coalition, Joel Berg, Executive Director of the New York City Coalition Against Hunger, Rabbi Brent Spodek, Rabbi in Residence at American Jewish World Services who will be discussing the topic around the Jewish holiday of Shavuot (one of the harvest festivals in Judaism) and of course Daniel Bowman Simon as well.

Come join me in Brooklyn as I continue on my quest to be a greener and more environmentally responsible Bronxite.
